Tip 31: Remove Gaps in PhotoModeler ID numbers
We have a short and sweet tip video for you this week. Just 41 seconds!
Many objects in PhotoModeler – points, curves, edges, cylinders, surfaces, DSMs, etc. – have unique ID numbers. These numbers are set automatically by PhotoModeler.
While working with your project, e.g. referencing points, deleting edges, etc. gaps will form in the id numbers. For example, instead of your points being numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc., it might look like 1, 2, 4, 10, 12 instead.
The gaps in the ID numbers are not a problem if you do all your work in PhotoModeler. There are times, such as when you are creating a report, or exporting your data, that you don’t want gaps in the id numbers. The renumber tool in PhotoModeler corrects this by removing all gaps. You can also set the starting number of the sequence.
