PhotoModeler crashes when loading a project or adding images to a project.

There has been a small number of reports where PhotoModeler crashes simply when loading photos or sometimes loading a project.

With the help of our customers experiencing the unusual problem, we’ve narrowed it down to a problem with certain backup software, such as “Replica” (by Seagate), that comes bundled with backup drives. It seems the installed backup software causes a problem when PhotoModeler attempts to write photo chip (.cch) files to disk.

The only known solution at this time is to uninstall the backup software.
