Once you have a camera in mind, you will need to build a Camera Description. This description gives PhotoModeler the information it requires to figure out how 3D objects are imaged - whether it be a CCD or a piece of film. Without this information, PhotoModeler cannot build 3D models from photographs.
Cameras can be created by typing in parameters into the Camera Viewer Dialog or by getting a camera from the camera library or from another project.
A calibration should be done when possible. Calibration is not a difficult process and is almost fully automated. Please refer to the Camera Calibration section for information on the steps.
