Residual

A residual is an amount of difference between an expected and calculated value.  For example, if you expected a certain measurement to come to 2.55mm but the actual final result was 2.52mm then the residual (or residual error) would be 0.03mm.

The most important residual in PhotoModeler is the Marking Residual.
