Template pattern capture projects are used when digitizing 2D shapes on a flat surface. Examples of these types of projects include:
• Boat canvas templates
• Clothing and fabric patterns
• Sail panels
• Boat/car seat covers
• Countertop templates
This type of project is useful for measuring, modeling or digitizing shapes for output to CAD / CAM packages (such as Rhino), usually with the intention of sending the model to a cutter for production.
