If the format type allows, Curves can be exported as either line segments or NURBS. “As Line segments” will break the curve down into small, tessellated line segments that are exported as line or polyline entries. The tolerance of this tessellation can be controlled on the Preferences dialog. “As NURBS” will export the curve as an exact mathematical representation of the curve. Not all formats can handle the NURBS form.
