A Point Cloud/Mesh (i.e. a raw point cloud or the triangulated mesh) can be seen in 3D in a 3D Viewer. A Cloud/Mesh’s properties can be seen in a Cloud/Mesh Table.
When a 3D Viewer is set to display textures the points of point clouds/meshes created during DSM will display using an RGB value extracted from the photo giving the point cloud a textured appearance. This gives you an impression of how well the surface solved and can help when cleaning up stray point mesh points.
A similar property is in place for a triangulated point meshes which will texture the triangulated mesh using the photo assigned to the meshes “texture photo” property. This allows you to view the triangulated mesh result photo textured; however, the texture comes directly from the single photo so does not include any perspective correction, occlusion checking, multiple source photos and other features available when texturing a Surface using a material.
