Project Wizard: Scale/Rotation (Automated Coded Targets Project)

This wizard screen is displayed when setting up an automated coded target project and the Translate / Scale / Rotate stage was requested in the stages pane.  This type of coordinate system transformation is defined based on coded targets. For example, you might have a scale bar with two known coded targets at either end.  By entering those codes here and the know distance, scale can be automatically set up when the other processing stages have completed.

If you know the translation for a coded target you can check the ‘translate’ check box, enter the target code ID and X,Y,Z position.  If the target is successfully identified during automatic marking,  the project will be translated to match.  (e.g. To shift the project into a specific coordinate system you could assign a target as 0,0,0).

If you know the distance between two coded targets you can use this to scale your project.  Check the ‘scale’ check box, enter the target code IDs of the two targets and the distance between them.  If both targets are successfully identified during the automatic marking, the project will be scaled to match the distance entered.

If you know which coded targets define the axis for your coordinate system you can check the ‘rotation’ check box and fill in the required rotation information on the following pane: Project Wizard: Rotate (Automated Coded Targets Project).

Note: the target code IDs mentioned above are the numbers you find printed on the targets by the Create Coded Targets Dialog.
