Propagation

A motion project is stored as a series of regular PMR projects, one for each epoch.  To quickly examine a single epoch you can load the individual .PMR file and view it as you would a regular PhotoModeler project, however it is recommended you do not edit or re-save the project.

Since each epoch is stored as a separate project, to have changes reflect across all (or some) epochs motion projects use a propagation system.  When a change that could be applied to multiple epochs is detected (such as changing the material of a point) the Motion Project Propagate Dialog will appear prompting you to select which epochs the change should be applied to.

If you do not want any of your changes to propagate you can turn off propagation by pressing the Propagate button on the Motion toolbar or by choosing the Propagate item on the Motion menu.

Note: since there is no data in any epochs when you start a motion project, propagation will be off by default until you perform tracking or switch to a different epoch.

Some settings propagate across all epochs regardless of the propagation setting and will not display the Motion Propagate Dialog.  These settings are:

        Project units,

the next point, curve, cylinder, edge and surface IDs

        the default material,

        the default layer,

the Scale/Rotate set in the starting epoch, and

the approximate size of the project.
