Static Imports

Static Imports retain their original coordinates and have no effect on the project’s coordinate system.  For this reason, static imports should already be in the project’s coordinate system before being brought into the project.

Static Imports are used when you have an existing model that shares the same coordinate system as the project, and you want to view the existing model alongside the current project without marking or pinning any points. For example, when bringing a model back into PhotoModeler for texturing after first exporting it and adding more detail in another package.

You cannot mark or assign a static import point.
