DSM mask image name

This is the name of the image file containing the mask to block out areas that are NOT to be used for DSM, and/or SmartMatch feature detection.

When a DSM mask is applied to an image, the masked area will not be used for DSM generation. This can help reduce noise and speed up DSM processing times as unwanted regions of the photo(s) will not be processed.

Once a DSM mask image has been set, the DSM "Extents From" on the DSM Options Dialog will have a DSM Masks option.

See also Creating mask images  and Create Masks Dialog, and Draw Mask Mode.

You can use the DSM mask to block out a region so that SmartMatch feature detection does not take place in the masked region. For example, you can run SmartMatch on an object and mask out the background to help concentrate the feature detection to the region of interest. See SmartPoints Project Options Dialog where you can enable the mask.

This feature applies to PhotoModeler Premium only.
