Clicking on the "Quit.." button will bring up a query dialog asking if you wish to terminate the current operation. If you say no, the operation continues. If you say yes, the current operation terminates and puts the application program back into a reasonable and stable state. The "Quit..." button can be used whether the operation has been paused or not.
