Audit

The Audit page controls those options to do with how PhotoModeler determines project quality during Audit and Processing.

There are many settings here and their relationship to processing is complex so we give this whole section a caution sign .

These settings will not be described in detail in a table form but instead in terms of generalities.

Audit studies a number of factors to determine the quality of a project and to determine how best to perform the optimize step so as to improve accuracy and maximize the chance of success.

The most important numbers for that control are under the 'Bad' and 'Weak' columns to the left of the dialog. If a particular value falls under the bad level then that entities is set so it will not be used in processing. For example,  if a photo has fewer than 5 points or less than 3% image coverage by points, then it is labeled "bad" and it will not be processed.  If a point is labeled bad (for example its angle maximum is below 15 degrees) then it is not processed either by the optimizer.

If Photos or Points are labeled "weak" this means that they may not be used in the first stage of a two stage processing. This allows the "strong" data to start the solution off on the best footing and then the weaker data is added in the second stage.

The 'Marginal', 'Ok', 'Average Marginal' and 'Average Ok' settings are used mostly in the Audit Dialog details tabs to provide suitable feedback to quality. These thresholds are also used by the Audit Summary to provide suitable feedback and suggestions.
