Camera Library

PhotoModeler uses a central repository (.cam files) to provide easy access to often used cameras. Cameras in the Library are also included in the search for camera/photo matches when adding photos to a project. See Camera Matching for information on how photos are matched with cameras from the library when adding photos to a project.

There are two ways to store camera files in your camera library:

After a successful calibration (or Field Calibration), you will be prompted to store the camera in your library. If you decide to store your camera, the camera will then be included in any camera matching searches when adding photos to a project.

Using the Camera Library Dialog. This dialog can be accessed by pressing the “Library…” button on the Camera Viewer Dialog.

See also Camera Calibration and Application Data and File Locations for information on the specific location of camera files on disk.  See also Upload Camera.
