Outlines get their 3D position from the position on a photo on which they are marked and the 3D plane to which they are assigned. Outlines behave much like Surface Drawing in this regard, though Surface Draw can use Planes (see Creating Planes) and Surfaces (see Creating Surfaces). Outlines can be marked on Plane Surfaces only.
