Silhouette Table

Table

Description automatically generated

The Silhouette Table displays information about silhouettes in the currently open Project. See the Tables and Interaction With Tables sections above for background information on tables, various types and layouts.

Note: Tables that are open can be printed or exported (to file or clipboard) using the Output to Printer, Clipboard or File feature.

The Silhouette table lists each silhouette's ID, User Name, the list of photos on which it is marked, the material, the layer, whether it has a 3D position, whether it is set to be computed, its form (Poly or NURBS), its tolerance, whether it is smoothed,  its center of mass calculation (X,Y,Z) and its volume calculation.

Note: The Name can be edited by double clicking a point’s Name cell, and editing the name directly. For information on this property, see  The Objects That Make Up A Model.

Multiple Silhouette Tables can be opened simultaneously. The contents of the Silhouette Table keeps in sync dynamically with the remainder of the project. For example, if you change the material of a silhouette, the Material column is automatically updated on the fly. You can select one or more Silhouettes and study their properties (using the Right Click menu or Properties pane on the View Tab) or view the corresponding projections using the "Expand Selections to all Windows" command.

Note: If the ‘Volume’ column is visible in the current configuration, the calculation time for complex silhouettes (i.e. those with a 3D position marked and referenced on many photos) and hence the time it takes to display table data can be lengthy. Calculation/display time increases as silhouette complexity increases.  If you have many complex silhouettes in your project you can avoid delays in table display by using a default table configuration that does not show volume data.
