Edit Coded Target Offset Pairs

Graphical user interface, application

Description automatically generated

This dialog allows you to add, delete and change pairs of coded targets used to create offset points, when setting up groups of offset points for your Coded Target Offsets Library.

Here you choose the 2 coded target IDs and the distance along the vector defined by these 2 points. Define the offset for each pair of points that has been prepared in your set of targets.

In the example shown in the dialog box screen capture above, the first coded target ID (#1) is the ID of the point to which the offset is applied (i.e. when the Properties of the Point #1 are displayed, the offset parameters will be shown). The second coded target ID (#2) is the ID of the point that defines the vector direction. The Offset distance (6cm) is the distance from the center of Point #1 to the new 3D offset point. That is, the vector starts at Point#1, passes in a straight line through Point#2 and ends at the new offset point, 6 cm from Point #1. This is shown in the following example:

This offset point will be shown in the Offset Point table and in #1’s point properties as a 2 Point offset, with Point #2 as the second point, and a value of 6cm.

When a series of these pairs are made, their parameters can be set up and added to the library to be used in multiple projects.

When ‘Apply Offsets’ on the Coded Target Offsets Library dialog is clicked these settings will be used to create offset points.
