PhotoModeler Activation

Activation is a set of simple and quick steps taken after program installation in order to activate your Maintenance and begin using PhotoModeler. If you've used Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office or many of the Adobe products you have already used a similar activation system.

When PhotoModeler is activated online, it contacts a central server over the internet to 'activate' your licensed software and Maintenance and tie. it to the provided activation code (provided by PhotoModeler Technologies or your dealer by email).

Our system does tie your license permanently to your computer hardware, but it has built-in tolerance for changes to your machine, and you should have no problem re-activating your software after reformatting your hard drive, after upgrading hardware components in your computer, or when you move your software to a new computer.

The simplest method of Activation, re-activation or deactivation requires an Internet connection. This Internet connection can be on a computer that is different than the computer on which PhotoModeler is installed.  You can also 'manually' activate PhotoModeler by getting special codes over the phone or via email from PhotoModeler Technical Support.

When you first launch PhotoModeler while in Evaluation or Demo mode, the Welcome to PhotoModeler Dialog will appear.

You can carry out various Licensing tasks (e.g. activation, license move and license deactivation) at any time using the License Management Dialog, accessible from the Options menu.  This is also where you access the Manual Activation tools if you need to do an offline activation (without connecting to the internet).

Note: If at some point after activation you would like to install PhotoModeler on a different computer, you must first move your license off of the activated computer, before you uninstall. The uninstall process does not de-activate your license. See the License Management Dialog for more information on moving your license.
