Point Clouds/Triangulated Meshes

A Point Cloud is an object created using DSM (Dense Surface Modeling) tools that is made up of a large number of points that generate a Point Cloud. The Point Cloud is the basis for optional textured Triangulated Meshes using various meshing stages.  Point Clouds and Triangulated Meshes (formerly known collectively as PointMeshes) are grouped together in the Cloud/Mesh Table as they are generated from the same source.

For information on DSM and generation of point clouds and meshes, please refer to Dense Surface Modeling / PhotoModeler Premium.

As part of the Cloud/Mesh creation process, DSM Trims are used to define the extents of the mesh. Please see DSM Trims.
