Preference settings, or a coded target coordinate definition file can be used to automatically set up one or more of these aspects of a project, by assigning to specified Coded Target points (see Coded Targets):
- units (file and Preferences),
- rotation / scale / translate (file and Preferences),
- multi-point coordinate system transform (file),
- control points (file),
- check distances (file), or
- xyz check points (file).
Select “Using RAD Project Preference Settings” to use the Preference settings,
or click “loaded from a file” to browse to the file containing the coded target definitions, then click the "..." button to browse to a text file with the format as described in Using Coded Target Definition File.
Note also that using Coded Target Presets, one can accomplish similar things but with a different user interface.
