Coded Target Preset Configurations are sets of settings optionally used in projects with coded target points. Since Coded Targets each have a unique number (the ID), we can perform some automated tasks of assigning objects (like planes and lines), and setting up coordinate systems (like scale, and rotations) to Coded Targets (and/or offset points) found in your scene. This can improve project completion time and can be applied consistently to all projects.
Coded Target Presets are used to assign or create:
• Offset point(s) based on pairs of coded target points. See also RAD and Coded Target Offsets and Letter Sheet Offsets.
• Scale(s) based on the distances between two known coded target points (or offset points). See also Setting Scale.
• Translation based on the known 3D position of a coded target point (or offset points). See also Setting Translation.
• Rotation based on two axes, each defined by two points (or offset points). See Setting Rotation.
• Plane(s), each defined by 3 or more planar coded target points. See also Creating Planes.
• Line(s), each defined by 2 coded target points (or offset points). See also Line Defining/Modifying.
Some or all of these components can be configured to apply to the coded target points in an existing project with coded targets, or a new Automated Target Project.
These settings are also useful in Letter Sheet Automated Target Projects.
